Well many of us have a habit of drinking water while working, but how many of us drink regularly and finish at least a liter during the day. My work forces me to stare at the stupid box at least for 8 hours and during hectic time i usually forget drinking water.. So i was wondering if there are any gadgets or tool which can indicate me at regular interval to drink water. Googling it led me to install google desktop. This tool is very handy with its searching , shortcut to google and adding gadgets. The one which caught my eye was Water Reminder gadget. It asks for a time to set and i’ve set 15 minutes. Every 15 minutes there is a sound played which reminds me to drink water. Try this, its worth the little ram which gets utilized by Google Gadget. Well i have been using this for more than 2 weeks now and with regular drinking i have raised my bar from 2 liters to 3 during my 9 – 7 work time.
Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
You get hurt or scratched, your body recovers and covers up the scratch by a new skin.. Was wondering is this possible to do in our Softwares. Always you will find buggy softwares which gets attacked by malicious code and antivirus kicks in to clean up. Why dont we make softwares which can heal itself or stops working when it gets attacked or when there something spoofy going on.
Few days back i heard from someone that there is antivirus which does not need an virus updates. It basically keeps a tab on all the activities of the computer and if there are any malicious activity it will kill that process. Good idea right.. But i was wondering how would you update the process of keeping the tab on activities? Say if a virus does not do anything abnormal but goes and deletes the boot file on startup?? Will this be handled?
Anyways coming to software i was reading an article which said a group of researches have developed a software called CLEARVIEW which can find and fix certain types of software bugs within a matter of minutes. They have tested with Mozilla firefox and it fixed all the issues. They claim that it works fine when there are more systems in connected say LAN. This is a good start to software technology and may be in future we might not have buggy software / patches release after initial version.
